Little Wall Lake Campground Update

The first 23 campsites are now open and ready for public use. There are 6 pull through sites. Ammentities include water, sewer and up to 50 amp electrical service. There is also wireless internet available throughout the entire campground. New this year is our "Carry in -- Carry Out" policy. All park users and campers are now required to carry out their own trash that they produced. This is largely due the 12% budget cut that was imposed upon the conservation board from the board of supervisors. Please try to reduce, recycle and reuse before coming to the campgrounds. This will also help us be better stewards of the land and make us more aware of what we produce for garbage. A Land and Water Conservation Fund grant was received by the Hamilton County Conservation Board to continue campground renovations. 36 new campsites will be constructed in the area east of the existing campgrounds. This project is scheduled to start in the fall of 2010. These sites will have electric and water only. The remaining existing campsites will be renovated in the future. Private funding will help match grant dollars. Please consider helping us raise funds for this project.
